Principal Investigators who are delinquent with terms of current or previous NSRC awards, such as reports, are not eligible to apply for NSRC funds until award terms have been met. All researchers are required to submit annual progress reports in addition to a final report 30 days after the project ends. All reports can be sent in attachments via email to [email protected]

Communications
NSRC funds research that has applicable value to resource managers, conservation experts, and foresters in the Northern Forest. Communicating research results broadly within the research and professional community is highly encouraged.

Policies
USDA Nondiscrimination and Whistleblower Protection
All NSRC collaborators and researchers shall abide by all applicable nondiscrimination obligations, including particularly the requirements of the United States Forest Service. These regulations prohibit discrimination against (1) qualified protected veterans, and (2) qualified individuals on the basis of disability. These regulations also require affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified protected veterans and qualified individuals with disabilities. Additionally, collaborators will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
Additionally, all NSRC collaborators and researchers shall comply with the Federal Pilot Program for Enhancement of Whistleblower Protection.
USDA Civil Rights Requirements
All NSRC partners must comply with USDA Forest Service civil rights requirements as described in this pamphlet (PDF).
