The Center for Research on Sustainable Forests (CRSF) at the University of Maine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Aaron Weiskittel as Acting Director of the CRSF and of Research Theme 3 of the Northeastern States Research Cooperative (NSRC). Aaron’s expertise with forest modeling, large data, and remote sensing make him well qualified to help lead the CRSF as the information and data portal for Northeastern Forests.
A longtime, productive principal investigator with the NSRC, Aaron will take over the reins of NSRC’s Research Theme 3, related to Forest Productivity and Forest Products, from outgoing CRSF Director, Dr. Robert Wagner, who recently transitioned to Purdue University.
