Dr. Jay Wason is an Assistant Professor of Forest Ecosystem Physiology in the School of Forest Resources (SFR) at the University of Maine. Before joining SFR, Jay was a postdoctoral associate at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He received his Ph.D. in Ecology from the State University of New York’s College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
His current research uses lab and field studies to determine the physiological responses of northeastern forest trees to novel future climate conditions including drought, flood, and heat stress.
