Dr. Jed Murdoch is a wildlife biologist and Associate Professor of the Wildlife and Fisheries Biology program in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont (USA). His position involves conducting research, teaching and mentoring students, and service to the community and profession.
Much of his research focuses on the behavior, ecology, and conservation of large mammals and examines questions related to the effects of landscape change on the abundance and distribution of species using a combination of fieldwork, modeling, and experimentation. He is a member of the Vermont Scientific Advisory Group for Mammals, Trustee at The Nature Conservancy of Vermont, and Fellow of the Gund Institute for Environment.
